Yes, politics IS women's work which we proved again at our recent annual board meeting and conference in Tallahassee in March, known affecionally as "Tally Days"!
It is hard to believe this was my final annual meeting as President of the FFRW and please know what an honor it has been to serve you!
We were inspired and engaged at our 2013 Tally Days. We pledge our support not only to reelecting our Governor and Florida Cabinet, maintaining our majority in the Florida House and Senate but also to sending relief to our patriots in the US House of Representatives.
Our emphasis has always been to empower women in the electoral oricess and elect more women to public office at every level. We heard from the legislators with success stories in our Women to Watch Program. We held workshops on winning campaigns, club treasury, and traditional and social media. We elected the 2013 FFRW Nominating Committee, and FFRW delegates-at-large to the convention of the National Association of Republican Women (NFRW) in Louisville in September of this year, and we followed up on our 2013 legislative agenda.
The FFRW has a long, proud and distinguished history of grassroots activism and GOP leadership that spans decades. We count among our membership empowered women leaders, Florida State Representatives and Senators, elected officials at every level of government, and the Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee, Sharon Day.
The FFRW is a vibrant and forward looking organization with accomplished and talented members whose achievements include technology, campaign management, data management, legislative advocacy, leadership and the education and promotion of women candidates for office. Many of our members are involved in their local county Republican Executive Committees as Precinct-women, State Committeewomen, County chairs and Vice chairs.
Recognized nationally for our activism on behalf of the ticket, our outreach has landed us on Fox News, CNN, and hundreds of other media outlets.
Please join us, and participate in our efforts to re-elect a Republican Governor in 2014, and win back the US Senate and the White House in 2016!
