Meet Your District Reps
Christine Sutherland, District Executive

District Representatives

The District Executive and District Representatives serve as the backbone of FFRW, working on several levels by mentoring existing clubs, helping to form new clubs, facilitating the exchange of ideas in the districts and providing the FFRW Executive Committee with club leadership data and updates.

They also are the first instance to respond to any problems clubs may encounter and helping them resolve such matters, and bring the concerns of clubs and members to the attention of the District Executive and the FFRW Executive Committee.

Our District Executive and 8 FFRW District Representatives are looking forward to working with all clubs in the next two years.  No club left behind FFRW will help, by training, nurturing and encouraging new and existing clubs and their leadership and your District Representatives will play a vital part in this endeavor!   In return we ask club presidents to help FFRW to be not just the largest political federation in  Florida but also the most qualified and best structured volunteer group in Florida and the most professional and efficient state federation in the National Federation of Republican Women.

What would we like the club presidents to do?  It’s easy!

Club Presidents: please contact your District Representative:

1.     if  you learn of an opportunity to form a new club;

2.     if  you need any help with your club

3.     if you have a problem in your club

4.     if you wish to meet/consult with other club presidents

5.     If you know of any Republican, club member or not, who is a good speaker on politics/campaign etc., and would travel to other clubs.    This year our clubs need the best speakers to enthuse us all for the tasks ahead, and if we can start a list of such regional speakers we would be serving FFRW well!

Club presidents: also please assist FFRW ensuring that you:

1.     send a copy of your club’s monthly newsletters to your District Representative

2.     invite your District Representative to a club meeting at least once during her two-year term, pay  travel cost and arrange free accommodation for her if necessary

3.     send her any changes in your club’s leadership (officers, chairs, appointees) so that she, and FFRW,  have the latest information available at any time

4.     send all correspondence by email

5.     check your email at least

6.     Send all data electronically, preferably in spreadsheets as prescribed by FFRW

FFRW clubs will better than ever together on a day-to-day basis, and, with the help of our BACKBONE, the District Representatives, FFRW will flourish!

District Representatives of the FFRW are the backbone of the organization and the mentors to new members and club presidents alike.

Please contact one of these fine leaders for any assistance you need in becoming more poltically involved in Florida in 2010:
