PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

A big thank you to the brave souls who came out during tropical storm Nicole to attend our fundraiser for Ellyn Bogdanoff. We had a great time, raised some money for Ellyn and had a delightful dinner at 5th Avenue Grill. We need to all get together more often!
Wednesday the 6th of October we will have our monthly meeting at Allen West's headquarters in Pompano. We are meeting at 5:30 for a brief meeting and then will stay to help out the campaign in any way we can. The campaign is furnishing cold drinks and sandwiches. If you'd like, bring a salad, a dessert or wine. We have new members since we met last, so be sure and come out to meet them.
For the rest of October, we will be doing phone banking every Wednesday night at the Victory Office in Ft. Lauderdale. The 13th of October will be devoted to making calls for our very own Celeste Ellich who is running for Commissioner in Wilton Manors. Come out and help!
We will skip a November meeting and have a holiday party in December. Then, it's back tonormal meetings in January. We have a very special project in mind for 2011 that you will hear about shortly.
I know you are all busy working for candidates. We have less than a month left, and it will go quickly. There isn't a single seat that we don't have the ability to win if we'd just get out the vote. Call your friends and family and remind them to vote! Offer to drive your neighbors to the polls! There is a lot of apathy out there that we simply have to overcome. Let's get to work!
Signed: Ginger Eisenrod, President

Editor’s Memo
: (Contact me at (954) 970-0702) Please NOTE new e-mail. My oldone is overloaded so please use Rightnow2010@aol,com.

ABSENTEE BALLOT:
Remember that the easiest way to vote in Broward County is touse an Absentee Ballot. Telephone the Elections Office directly at (954) 357-7050.You can still request one until the end of October but DO IT NOW!!!! They send youthe ballot before the next election. You have to get it back to them by a date certain. Instructions are with the ballot.

POLITICAL CONTRIBUTION$ ARE VITAL THIS YEAR:
. We all complain that lobbyists, political action committees and millionaires have too much influence over our elected politicians. There are 250,000 registered Republican voters in Broward County. If every one of us gave $10 to the Broward Republican party, there would be a budget of $2,500,000 to recruit and help elect qualified candidates. How much does it cost in Starbucks or McDonalds for a modest treat? Ask yourself if you can give $10 or $20 or more to help get qualified people in office. Please see the political contribution form attached at the end of the newsletter.

REPUBLICAN NEWS;
Broward Republican Executive Committee is looking for newmembers to serve as precinct representatives. There are 814 precincts in BrowardCounty and the committee only has about 200 reps serving. If you decide to serve youwill receive the names of the Republicans in your precinct and advice on how to reachthem. The party is giving training to new precinct workers! PRECINCT people are the“Boots on the Ground” people who make the difference in getting the voters advised andinto the polls for elections!! MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW!!

ELECTION NEWS: GOOD REPUBLICANS HAVE TO PUT ASIDE DIFFERENCES AFTER A PRIMARYBATTLE AND SUPPORT THE PARTY CANDIDATE. LOYALTY TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS THEKEY TO SUCCESS IN NOVEMBER. WE HAVE JUST HAD SOME VERY BITTER, NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNSBUT REMEMBER THAT A REPUBLICAN IS BETTER THAN THE DEMOCRAT ALTERNATIVE!

PRECINCT AND DISTRICTS: Don’t know your voting Precinct or district or voting place?
Check your voter registration card for that information.

RADIO
: For Election news and candidate interviews and other news of interest to women, listen to attorney Lisa Marie Macci-The Justice Hour, on station WBZT 1230 every Tuesday from 7-8 P.M.
