Republican Women Signal Aggressive Expansion into Miami-Dade on May 18th
GOP Women Candidates Headline
(Jacksonville) The expansion of the conservative women’s movement is the goal of the Florida Federation of Republican Women on their May 18th tour of Miami Dade. The events will take place at Don Shula’s Resort in Miami Lakes and Hotel Place St. Michel in Coral Gables.
While the host committee reads like a who’s-who of Florida’s GOP leadership, keynote speakers will be headlining women at the first two events and feature Senator Paula Dockery candidate for Governor, Pam Bondi candidate for Attorney General and a host of other candidates locally.
According to Cindy Graves, president of the FFRW and Duval State Committeewoman, the goal of the meetings is to rally conservative women voters in advance of the midterm elections, provide a platform for GOP candidates and to rebuild the women’s grassroots movement in the area.
“Our organization is largest political grassroots society of women in the state with active chapters in 45 counties including every major metropolitan area. The women of Miami-Dade will find us to be a coalition of smart, tenacious and outspoken women dedicated to bringing in the vote for the GOP ticket especially in light of the outlandish political antics of Crist in his controversial bid for US Senate. We are motivated and on fire!” said Graves.
The evening reception keynotes will include Representative David Rivera and U.S. Senate Candidate Marco Rubio who will be on hand for a special announcement expected to take place at the event.
Also making the trip to Miami will be many esteemed and long time supporters of the FFRW including Representative Jennifer Carroll, RNC Secretary Sharon Day and others.
“Florida began gearing up today for 2012 following the announcement that the RNC Convention will be held in Tampa. The members of the Florida Federation of Republican Women will play a critical role as grassroots volunteer leaders for the 2012 convention and of course in November just as they do in every election cycle. I am thrilled to support this women’s expansion into Miami-Dade,” said Sharon Day.
